My tribe includes my husband of 46 years, our 3 grown kids, two in-law kids, and 7 grandkids. I could talk all day about these amazing people, and being their wife/mom/Gigi is the biggest blessing of my life.
My faith life, like a seedling, began to grow when I was a teenager. At a weekend retreat, I really started to grasp what it meant to surrender my life to the God of the universe who took my punishment upon Himself: He who owed no debt paid the debt I could not pay. This quiet revelation was the beginning of a new life.
I met Flyboy on a blind date when he was a student pilot and married him a year later. After six years in the Air Force, and after seminary, we spent 30 years serving churches in three states. From the challenges of pastoring, to cancer, to the painful moments that relationships either grow from or crumble under, we’ve walked through it all and have come out the stronger for it.
The older I get, the more I desire to leave behind something that is meaningful and worthwhile. Flyboy builds legacy furniture to pass on and fashions beautiful work that will last generations. It is my hope that, through this blog, I can make a difference by building up other women. We’re all in this together.
May God bless you and guide your steps as you live out your faith journey. I’m here for you, as is He.
Love,
Gigi
Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you. –Isaiah 46:4 (NIV)
